背景[]

ED-E是少数几个在硬核模式中被标记为必不可少的角色之一，因为如果他死了，玩家就无法完成信使，如果他们想要阻止导弹发射。
孤独之路安装后，只要在普瑞姆中修复了原来的ED-E，它就可以访问复制ED-E的工作台和弹药工作台功能，即使从未涉足过分水岭。
如果玩家角色在进入霍普维尔导弹发射井地堡并在发射井中遇到副本之前没有修复纳什家中的原始ED-E，他们将有独特的对话，他们最初不会将他称为ED-E(尽管HUD仍然给他起这个名字)。[7]
